Am I being Scammed by Outco Ediburgh?
I recently posted a few ads on gumtree, looking for a variety of small part time jobs in the area as I am currently in desperate need of a small part-time job. The next day, I received an e-mail from Outco Edinburgh, offering me a job delivering leaflets in my area. The grammar was poor, there were several mis-spelt words and they asked for me to send in a cheque for £9.99 to cover postage and packaging for the leaflets.
Obviously, the whole thing looked extremely dodgy and I am unsure whether or not they are scamming me, but the assured me that since they are a PO BOX adress, they are fully checked out before given this address, but I really do not know!
I know it is only £10 I am being scammed out of, but at the moment I really cannot afford to be dealing with hassle in which may just turn out to be a scam.
Does anyone have any answers?

Anyone can rent a PO box under any name. You don't get checked out. I could go to the post office or Mail Boxes Etc tomorrow and set up a mail box under any business name with no checking
Why would you have to pay ANYTHING to deliver leaflets? Of course that's a scam.
And would any legitimate company ever send out information using poor grammar?
Just contact restaurants in your area and ask them if they need anyone to deliver leaflets
Report this to Gumtree as well as your local police
