What are the best cities in America? Read the criteria.?
Cities with good weather (warm and sunny most of the time), decent eateries/nightlife/theatres that are not all national chains, bearable commutes, outdoors and eye-catching scenery, back-drops and parks, affordable homes, decently cultivated people. Am I describing El Dorado or an actual city?
true saru-kun, i do live in LA and love it except for the traffic, smog and overpriced homes.
well San Diego will definitely not have the smog that LA has and the traffic is not nearly as bad. There are only a few specific commutes I would avoid in San Diego but for the most part it's not that bad and our public transit system is better than LA's to give you some more options other than driving. SD is obviously expensive for housing but it's cheaper than LA and you get a much better deal here than there. And prices here for buying keep going down. I think homes are a much better deal here compared to LA or the Bay Area.
Phoenix is sunny and warm, but very hot in summer, has nice scenery, and is cheaper than SoCal but it's mostly national chains and the culture is pretty bland to non existent there.
Sorry but you're gonna have to sacrifice some of those criteria b/c I don't think any place in the US fits all of them. If it wasn't for the traffic and housing costs anywhere in SoCal would be good.
