If the Movie Theater is near capacity, is it okay to take "saved" seats?
Today, I went to go see Sherlock Holmes. All the seats that weren't awful were either taken or some were reserved (people had draped articles of clothing over them). Is it okay to save seats at a movie theater if it's this crowded? I mean, the showing sold out 20 minutes before the movie started...
How do I confront people who have saved the seats, telling them that I would like to sit there?
I thought that they only sell enough tickets to fill the seats. There is some kind of computer thingy telling when all of the tickets are sold....right? They don't want p[eople staning in the back, aisles, or sitting on the floor.
So, I say that you got there before their friends did, and therefore you got a ticket, and when their friends get there.....the tickets might all be taken, and those *saved* seats.....will remain empty, if you don't get into one of them.
If this ahppens again, go to the management, and tell them that you can't find an empty seat....and then they will send someone with you to find one. And if they see those *saved* seats....they will inquire as to where the people are. They might say that the people are out getting food, and these are their coats.....then you can ask...where is your coat?
The only problem with something like this is that if you manage to get one of the seats, then you have to sit next to these people for the full time of thew show, and they could cause problems for you to enjoy it. I don't think I would do that. I would go back out and demand my money back, or go see another show.
Another thought....they might have bought a ticket for another show, and came into this one. Many people do this.
