Help me pick songs for my demo CD please!!?
Hi so i've been singing my whole life and i'm finally going to be recording a demo CD at the recording studio within the next month. I'd really like some help picking songs to sing that producers may like.
I'm 18. I'm big into musicals and country so i have a couple broadway songs picked out..."In His Eyes" from Jekyll and Hyde and "Girl in 14g" by Kristin Chenoweth.
I've been a soprano but i have an incredibly wide range for 18 haha,
I am probably going to sing Jesus Take the Wheel cause i sing that song well.
But i need ideas for a few other songs!! My manager was thinking 5 or 6 songs including songs from all different genres.
Broadway, Country and pop.
any ideas???

Most producers, promoters or A+R men only listen to the first 20 seconds anyway. Make it a 3 track demo, with a slight range but don't fall into the trap of 'this is me doing this style, this is my slow one, this is blah blah blah' - just pick what you're comfortable with and shows you off at your best. Make sure it's free of mistakes and send it out. Your best 3 songs are what you should go for and you've named them above
